Half Day Nairobi National Park city excursion

Please Note:

You will get a pick up from your hotel or airport for an early morning or afternoon game drive. The game drive will take between 2hrs to 5hrs hours in the Nairobi National Park. The tour will start with a visit to the ivory burning site where elephant tusks and rhino horns have been torched by Kenyan presidents to show the country’s commitment to stop poaching. You will also drive around in search of the parks diverse wildlife. In the course of the game drive, you will visit one of the several picnic sites to have a short break.

In case you have more time and at extra cost, there is an optional visit to the Nairobi Animal Orphanage. It is located in the Nairobi National Park. It serves as treatments and rehabilitation center for wild animals. The Nairobi animal orphanage hosts lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, serval cats, rare Sokoke cats, warthogs, leopards, various monkeys, baboons and buffalo. Various birds call the orphanage home including parrots, guinea fowls, crowned cranes and ostriches.

Another optional place to visit is the safari walk which is another attraction in Nairobi National Park. It is made up of raised wooded boardwalk that allows viewing of wildlife housed in the area. Visitors can view wildlife which they expect to see in Kenya’s game parks. It has a rich species of local trees.

After the tour, you will go back to the airport or your hotel.

Trip Summary

Half day Nairobi National Park tour takes you to the only game park in the world that is located in a capital city. The tour is ideal for anybody who is on transit through Kenya and has a few hours to spare, or somebody in Nairobi and does not have the time to visit other far flung parks. 

The private tour can start early in morning at 6AM or at 2PM, with collection and drop off at your hotel or the airport. Your guide will use their knowledge and experience to showcase the best that Nairobi National Park has to offer. From mammals, birds, trees and reptiles a half day tour has many delightful surprises in store for you. While on safari you will visit one of the park’s picnic areas for a break. This will give you time to soak in the atmosphere of this unforgettable natural experience. After the break your safari continues towards the exit gate completing an incredible 2-5 hours on safari in the Nairobi National Park.
