BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS AND CANCELLATION POLICY

1. BOOKING CONFIRMATION

  • All safari bookings are subject to availability at the time of reservation.
  • A booking is considered confirmed once:
    The client has accepted the safari quotation.
    A deposit of 30% of the total safari cost has been received.
    A confirmation invoice has been issued by Johari Africa Adventures.
  • For bookings made within 60 days of travel, a higher deposit or full payment may be required depending on supplier requirements.

2. PAYMENT TERMS

  • A deposit of 30% of the total safari cost is required to secure the booking.
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the safari commencement date.
  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, Pesapal Payment Link, credit/debit card, or other approved payment methods.
  • Any bank transfer charges or transaction fees shall be borne by the client.

3. CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.

Cancellation charges may apply due to commitments made to hotels, lodges, airlines, national parks, and other suppliers on behalf of the client.

The following cancellation charges shall apply:

  • More than 60 days before travel – 10% administration fee.
    31 – 60 days before travel – 25% of total safari cost.
  • 15 – 30 days before travel – 50% of total safari cost.
  • 14 days or less before travel – 100% of total safari cost.
  • No-show or unused services – 100% of total safari cost.
  • Where possible, Johari Africa Adventures will endeavor to transfer payments to an alternative travel date, subject to supplier policies and availability.

4. AMENDMENTS TO BOOKINGS

Any requested amendments after confirmation are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.

Changes to travel dates, accommodation, room types, or itinerary may lead to revised pricing.

5. PRICES

All quotations are based on current rates, park fees, government taxes, exchange rates, and supplier charges at the time of quotation.

Johari Africa Adventures reserves the right to adjust prices in the event of:

  • Government tax increases.
  • National park fee revisions.
  • Fuel surcharges.
  • Significant currency fluctuations.
  • Supplier-imposed rate changes.

6. TRAVEL INSURANCE

Clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Trip cancellation.
  • Medical emergencies.
  • Personal accidents.
  • Baggage loss.
  • Emergency evacuation.

7. LIABILITY

Johari Africa Adventures acts only as an agent for hotels, lodges, airlines, transport companies, and other service providers.

While every effort is made to ensure a safe and enjoyable safari experience, the company shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, delay, injury, accident, or additional expenses arising from circumstances beyond its control.

8. FORCE MAJEURE

Johari Africa Adventures shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government restrictions, political unrest, strikes, or other force majeure events.

9. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Payment of a deposit or full safari cost constitutes acceptance of these Booking Terms and Conditions.
